Zendesk integration

Get every HowlOps incident as a Zendesk ticket automatically, so support has visibility without anyone filing it by hand.

What this brings you

Outages don't just page engineers, they generate support tickets too, usually right as your team is heads-down on the fix. Connect Zendesk and HowlOps opens a ticket the moment an incident fires, so your support team already knows what's happening and can point customers at it instead of escalating blind.

Setup

  1. In Zendesk, create an API token: Admin Center > Apps and integrations > Zendesk API > Add API token.
  2. In HowlOps, go to Settings > Notification channels > Add channel > Zendesk.
  3. Enter your Zendesk subdomain, the email address associated with the API token, and the token itself.
  4. Save the channel, then trigger a test alert and confirm a ticket appears in your Zendesk instance.
