The building blocks: monitors, heartbeats, incidents, on-call

Concept pages explain why the platform behaves the way it does, without prescribing a workflow. Read these once and you will have a stable mental model for the rest of the docs.

• Monitors: HTTP and ping probes, with keyword, SSL-expiry, and domain-expiry sub-checks. Frequencies and tier limits.
• Heartbeats: passive checks (cron jobs, workers) that ping us.
• Incidents & severities: how multiple failing checks resolve into one incident.
• On-call & escalations: schedules, rotations, overrides, and escalation policies.
• Organization & teams: members, optional teams, and who can see what.
