Welcome to howlops.com. By accessing or using the platform — via the web or the HowlOps iOS app — you agree to these terms.
1. Service
howlops.com provides infrastructure uptime monitoring, alerting and on-call management. Pricing plans are documented on the pricing page.
2. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use the platform to probe systems you do not own or have explicit authorisation to monitor. Abusive monitor configurations may be paused at our discretion.
4. Billing
Paid tiers are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. Refunds are handled per the regional consumer-protection law that applies to your billing address.
5. Service availability
We do not currently offer a contractual uptime SLA with service credits. We continuously monitor the platform ourselves and publish a rolling measured uptime figure on our status page. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
6. Mobile application
The HowlOps iOS app is provided as part of the service under these same terms. It is a companion client: it requires an active HowlOps account and does not add or remove any entitlement. Push notifications — including critical alerts that may sound or vibrate while your device is silenced when you have opted in — are delivered on a best-effort basis via Apple Push Notification service and are subject to Apple's and your network's availability; they do not replace the alerting guarantees in your plan. You are responsible for keeping the app updated and your device secured. App Store distribution is additionally governed by Apple's standard licensed-application end-user licence agreement.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. Data is retained per the retention schedule documented in the admin data-retention section.

Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of the operator of HowlOps (identified in our Imprint) arising out of or relating to the service shall not exceed the fees you paid for the service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. The operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, or data, even if advised of the possibility. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind except those that cannot be excluded by law.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic and directly applicable European Union regulations. The courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that nothing in this section deprives you, where you are a consumer, of the mandatory protections or the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence that applicable EU consumer law guarantees you.
