What this brings you
Not every incident deserves a Slack message that gets buried under the day's conversation, and not everyone wants another chat app installed just to get paged. Pushover gives you a dedicated, high-priority notification straight to your phone or desktop the moment an alert fires, so you notice it even if you're not staring at a screen.
Setup
- Install the Pushover app on your phone or desktop and create an account if you don't already have one.
- In the Pushover dashboard, note your User Key (under your account), and create a Pushover application to get an API Token.
- In HowlOps, go to Integrations → Channels → Add channel → Pushover.
- Enter the app token and user key from step 2.
- Save the channel, then trigger a test alert and confirm the notification arrives on your device.
Pushover lets you set per-notification priority in its own app settings (including bypassing silent mode for urgent alerts). HowlOps sends every incident through the same channel; use Pushover's own priority and quiet-hours settings if you want finer control over which alerts interrupt you.
