Google Chat integration
Get every HowlOps incident posted straight into a Google Chat space.
What this brings you
If your team already lives in Google Chat, you don't want to be the person who has to remember to check a separate dashboard. Connect a Google Chat space and HowlOps posts a message there the moment a monitor goes down or an incident opens: what broke, how severe it is, and a direct link back to the monitor in HowlOps. No one has to context-switch to catch an outage.
Setup
- In Google Chat, open the space you want alerts posted to.
- Go to the space name > Apps & integrations > Webhooks > Add webhook.
- Name it something recognizable, like "HowlOps", and copy the generated webhook URL.
- In HowlOps, go to Settings > Notification channels > Add channel > Google Chat.
- Paste the webhook URL and save.
Trigger a test alert (pause and resume a monitor, or wait for the next check) to confirm the message shows up where you expect.
