Apprise notifications

Fan HowlOps alerts out through a self-hosted Apprise API.

Apprise is a live, self-service, delivery-only channel on every plan. It requires an Apprise API server you operate; the downstream services are configured in Apprise, not verified individually by HowlOps.

Set it up

  1. Deploy Apprise API behind public HTTPS.
  2. In Integrations → Channels → Apprise, enter its URL and either a persistent configuration key or comma-separated stateless Apprise URLs.
  3. Save, send a test, and verify every intended downstream destination.

HowlOps treats the Apprise request as one delivery. A success response does not prove that every downstream transport succeeded, and downstream actions do not alter the HowlOps incident.

Security and troubleshooting

Apprise URLs frequently contain credentials. Keep them secret, restrict access to the API, and rotate credentials in Apprise and HowlOps together. Private or unsafe server destinations are rejected. Inspect HowlOps delivery evidence and Apprise logs. See Apprise API and Apprise URL syntax.
