Rocket.Chat notifications

Send HowlOps incident messages to a Rocket.Chat incoming webhook.

Rocket.Chat is a live, self-service, delivery-only channel on every plan.

Set it up

  1. In Rocket.Chat choose Workspace → Integrations → New → Incoming WebHook, select a room, and enable it.
  2. Paste the generated HTTPS URL into Integrations → Channels → Rocket.Chat.
  3. Save and send a test.

HowlOps posts alert and recovery messages. It does not read room content, install slash commands, or use Rocket.Chat identities to authorize incident actions.

Security and troubleshooting

Treat the webhook URL as a credential. Regenerate or recreate it to rotate, update HowlOps, and retest. Private and unsafe destinations are rejected. Confirm the integration is enabled and inspect Notification delivery log. See Rocket.Chat incoming webhooks.
