Integrations
PagerDuty notifications
Trigger and resolve PagerDuty incidents through Events API v2.
On this page
PagerDuty is a live, self-service outbound channel on every plan. HowlOps triggers and resolves alerts through Events API v2; it does not import PagerDuty schedules or users.
Set it up
- In PagerDuty, open the target service, choose Integrations → Add integration → Events API v2, and copy its Integration Key.
- In Integrations → Channels → PagerDuty, paste that value as the routing key, save, and send a test.
- Confirm the test appears on the intended PagerDuty service.
HowlOps uses a stable deduplication key so recovery can resolve the corresponding PagerDuty alert. Acknowledgement or resolution performed only in PagerDuty is not a general bidirectional HowlOps lifecycle sync.
Security and troubleshooting
Use a service-specific routing key. Rotate by adding a new PagerDuty integration, updating HowlOps, testing it, and removing the old integration. Verify the target service and inspect Notification delivery log. See PagerDuty Events API v2.
