When a trial ends

If a workspace has a trial, its plan screen and trial banner show the capabilities included, the expiry time, and any grace period. Trial availability and duration are billing configuration, so this page does not promise a fixed trial to every new workspace.

Before expiry

Open Settings → Billing → What changes when your trial ends. The impact view compares the workspace's active resources with the entitlement that will apply after the trial.

If more monitors are active than the next plan allows, choose which ones should remain active. Saving that choice does not pause anything immediately; it records the order used when the grace period ends.

During grace

Existing monitors continue running during the grace period shown in the product. New resources are still checked against the post-trial limits, so a workspace that is already over a quota cannot add more of that resource.

You can remove excess resources, change the saved monitor selection, or purchase a capability before the displayed deadline.

After grace

HowlOps reconciles the workspace against its effective plans:

• excess monitors or heartbeats can be paused;
• multi-region dispatch is reduced to the entitled region count;
• retention follows the newly effective capability;
• resources and configuration are preserved rather than deleted.

History pruning is delayed separately from the initial resource reconciliation. The impact screen shows the date relevant to that workspace.

After an upgrade, review paused resources and resume the ones you need. A manually paused monitor remains paused until someone resumes it.
